If you are flying, you will be flying into the Memphis Airport. Our hotel is: La Quinta inn and Suites by Wyndam Memphis I-240. It is located 2575 Thousand oaks Blvd. Memphis, TN. It is 8 miles away from the airport. You will have to get your own transportation to the hotel. We can meet at the hotel Sunday evening at 6:00pm for a meet and greet and grab some dinner together. Restaurant to be decided later.
BE RESPECTFUL to your fellow players and to the game masters. Remember, you are all there to have fun and the game masters are there to make sure that happens.
RESET ERRORS: If you notice a reset error that you can fix, say for instance a lock that wasn't locked, fix it. If you can, close the lock and scramble it. If it is something that will have to be fixed by a game master, please let them know. It is much easier to fix it early on in the game than to wait until later. As much as you hate to see an error, it happens , especially when they are trying to reset the rooms quickly to get a group in. So try not to let it spoil your fun. We are all human.
TRY NOT TO HOG ALL OF THE PUZZLES: Remember, you are sharing the room with 3 other people. Please try to allow everyone to participate. If you feel like you are being left out, please speak up and tell your group. They may not even realize they are doing it. It is very easy to get caught up in playing the game and you forget there are others playing too. Also keep in mind, if you are working on a puzzle and simply cannot figure it out, there is no shame in passing it to someone else. We all have our strengths and weaknesses so some puzzles that do not click for you, may click for someone else!
HINTS: If your team is stuck and the majority would like a hint, please get one. Remember, you are playing with others and hints are sometimes needed if your team is stalled. You are not trying to break any records. Everyone is here to have fun and escape the room.
CRITICISM: Please hold all your complaints and critiques until after we have left the venue. If there is a problem with too many reset errors or puzzles not working properly, you can certainly let your game master know. Please let us know too so that we can inform the owners to make them aware of the problems. If it is a complaint about not liking a certain puzzle or just complaining about the game not being as great as you thought it would be, all of those comments should be held until we get back to the van. Then you can share your " personal" opinions with the other players. Remember, a game or puzzle that you personally do not like may be another players favorite thing!
PERSONALITY CONFLICTS: If you are playing a game with a person that you simply do not get along with, please let us know after the game and we will try our best to make sure that you do not play with that person again. We cannot guarantee that you will not have to play with them again, but we will try our best.
FOLLOW THE VENUES RULES: Please note that all escape room companies may have different rules. Some allow cellphones and flashlights, some do not. Please respect their rules and adhere to their waivers.
We ask that everyone please bathe regularly and wear deodorant. Also please try to wear clean clothes. If you like to wear perfume or cologne, please try not to wear too much of it. Some people may have allergies or sensitivity to smells.
Remember, we all will be riding in the same van together and you will also be in an escape room with each other for up to 1 hour. So be considerate of others.
SERVICE DOGS IN THE ESCAPE ROOM:
Service dogs are allowed in an escape room under the terms that the service dog will be leashed and under the handlers control at all times and that the rooms are private, only your group will be allowed to play. Under these conditions, since this is a public group of people, the only way to make this happen is for you to bring your own group of 4 people that are willing to play with a service dog. We cannot ask random strangers to play with a service dog in the room. That would be a huge liability for the escape room companies and us.
SERVICE DOGS IN THE VAN:
As much as we LOVE dogs, due to liability issues, we cannot allow a service dog to ride in the van with that many strangers. Also, some people may have allergies or simply do not want to ride in the van with a dog. So, if you have a service dog, you will be responsible for getting to the escape rooms by yourself.
*Please note that some of the rooms on this tour will involve crawling, climbing, and sliding and therefore for the safety of your service dog, you may not be able to access the full experience. If you have a service dog, please notify us BEFORE booking and we will be happy to discuss any questions that you may have and go over which rooms may not be safe for your puppers.
Unfortunately, the van that we will be driving is not handicap accessible. If you would like to join the tour, you certainly can, but you will have to find your own transportation to the escape rooms. Please also note that quite a few games on the tour are not handicap accessible and you may miss seeing some parts of the rooms. There may also be some that you will not be able to play at all.
*Please contact us BEFORE booking so that we can discuss details with you on which rooms you may miss or have to bypass at each location.
Must be 18 years old or older to participate.
